Kevin Ganton, Chairman
Administrator, The Ganton Retirement Centers, Spring Arbor, MI
Kevin Ganton has served the ProSure fund for over 20 years. He is a third generation health care provider with 25 years experience in skilled care. The Ganton Retirement Centers (family owned and operated since the early 1950s) serve Spring Arbor, Jackson, Brooklyn, Lansing and Battle Creek. The range of services covers skilled rehabilitation, assisted living, semi-assisted living, memory care and independent living. Kevin is married to Leigh (since 1985) and has three sons, Bobby, Todd and Reid. He lives in Spring Arbor. Kevin enjoys hunting, fishing and camping and is especially proud of his involvement in the Spring Arbor Free Methodist Church. He holds a BA from Greenville College in Greenville, Ill. Kevin states, "I count it a high privilege and honor to serve The Fund. I see the value of what we do and the return on investment it makes each year to the members. Finding a fund with this level of service and value is un-matched. A great service for healthcare providers."
Gail Clarkson, RN, NHA
CEO, MediLodge Group Inc., Washington, MI
Gail currently serves on the American Health Care Association (AHCA) Board of Governors and on the Executive Committee as Secretary. AHCA directs the national agenda representing over 11,000 skilled care facilities across the country. As a result of her national leadership role, Gail serves on the Board of Directors for the Health Care Association of Michigan (HCAM) and is the current Chair of the Michigan Nursing Home Administrators Board of Directors. Gail has 35 years of long-term care experience and is the CEO for the MediLodge Group, Inc. where she has been employed since 1985. The MediLodge Group owns and operates 17 skilled and assisted living facilities in Michigan. Her responsibilities include risk management and customer satisfaction for employees, residents and families. She is also the organization's advocate agent for culture change and collaborative outreach. In addition, she serves on the board of directors for BEAM (Bring Eden Alternative to Michigan) and MCAL (Michigan Center for Assisted Living.) Gail has voluntarily been an active member of many task forces and professional organizations. She has also served as the Chair of the Michigan Chapter of American College of Health Care Administrators, the Visiting Nurse Association of Saint Clair County and Blue Water Hospice.
William Rasner
Owner/Administrator, Roubal Care and Rehab Center, Stephenson, MI
Bill has been an administrator and an owner for over 35 years. (Bill's wife Deb and her family have owned and operated the Roubal Care and Rehab Center for over 50 years.) He has been an active member of HCAM since its inception having held all regional offices, including Director ('82-'83), and at the State level serving on various committees and as the Regional Directors representative to the Executive Board. Bill has also served his community as President of the Stephenson Non-Profit Housing Commission (13 years), as a City Councilman (16 years), and as a Volunteer to the Stephenson Volunteer Fire Department (22 years).
Jeff Schade
President and CEO, The Peplinski Group, Inc., Farwell, MI
Jeff has been employed with The Peplinski Group since 1994 and has held positions as administrator, director of operations, and since 2002, president and CEO. In addition to serving on the board of trustees of The ProSure Fund, Jeff is also first vice-chair of the board of directors for the Health Care Association of Michigan and serves on the board of directors for The Health Care Industry Liability Insurance Program (HealthCap). Jeff holds a Bachelor of Applied Arts degree from Central Michigan University and is also a graduate of the nursing home administrator's program from the Eli Broad School of Graduate Studies at Michigan State University. Jeff and his wife, Tammy, live in Midland.
Frank Wronski
President, The MediLodge Group, Inc., Washington, MI
Frank has been involved with the operation of Michigan nursing homes for more than twenty-four years, most recently as president of The MediLodge Group, Inc., which operates several nursing homes, assisted living facilities and a retirement community in Michigan. He serves on the HCAM Board of Directors as a Director-at-Large, large multi-facility, and served as past president and chair of the Managed Care Committee. Frank is also involved with the American Health Care Association, in the role of regional vice president. He received his B.A. from Eastern Michigan University, his MBA from the University of Detroit and his law degree from Thomas M. Cooley Law School.
Paul Ver Lee
Owner/Operator, The Village Rehabilitation and Care Center, Armada, MI
Paul began his career as an orderly in 1970 and worked summers in nursing homes while completing his bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Sociology at Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion, Indiana. From 1975 to 1982 he served as Assistant Administrator at Pontiac Osteopathic Hospital. In 1983 Paul purchased the 49-bed Fair Acres Care Center from his mother, Frances, also a long-term care administrator. Paul also owned and operated a nursing home in Clarkston, as well as a third skilled nursing facility. Since 1990 Paul has focused on expanding Fair Acres into a 67-bed Skilled Care and 40-unit Assisted Living Campus now known as The Village Rehabilitation and Care Center. He has served on the HCAM board of directors for 18 years, and is currently director at large, HFA/AL. Paul was instrumental in creating the Michigan Center for Assisted Living (MCAL), a subsidiary association of HCAM. He has served on the MCAL Board of Directors for 10 years and was board chairman in 2004 and 2005. Paul has received the President's Award from both MCAL and HCAM for his contributions to these associations.
Jon Reardon
Owner/Administrator, Hoyt Nursing and Rehab Centre, Saginaw, MI
Jon has been a licensed Administrator for over 30 years. Since 1985 he has owned the Hoyt Nursing and Rehab Centre, a 128-bed facility that received the Governor's Quality Award in 1998. Jon previously was involved in many facilities as Remediator/ Temporary Manager for the Michigan Public Health Institute and at the request of the Department of Community Health to improve the care in troubled facilities. He has been actively involved with HCAM for many years, serving as its Chair from 2006 to 2008 in addition to interim CEO. His community service includes the American Cancer Society, Delta College, Saginaw Community Health Board and local schools (as teacher and coach).
Judy Caroselli, Fund Administrator, CWCP
Judy has been a member of the ProSure Board of Trustees since 1980 and served as the Chairman of the Board from 1998 to 2008. For the past 37 years, Judy has operated one of the state's largest rehab and skilled nursing centers. She has been elected to serve on the Board of Directors of the Health Care Association of Michigan (HCAM) as Director-at-Large for small multi-facility organizations since 1990 to the present time. Judy was the recipient of the HCAM President's Award an unprecedented two times for her contribution to the healthcare field and honored as Outstanding Administrator by the Michigan Chapter of the American College of Health Care Administrators. As a registered nurse she serves on the Advisory Board for Schoolcraft College and participates on multiple committees for various professional and community organizations. Judy has been designated a Certified Workers Compensation Professional by the Workers Compensation Center, School of Labor & Industrial Relations, Michigan State University.
Christopher E. Sidor, Assistant Fund Administrator, CWCP
Chris graduated from Michigan State University with a B.A. degree after being awarded the prestigious 4-year Chick Evans Scholarship for outstanding academic achievement. Subsequent to graduation, he completed additional course requirements and was designated a Certified Workers' Compensation Professional by the Workers' Compensation Center, School of Labor & Industrial Relations at MSU. While attending college full time, Chris was the Assistant Services Manager for five years at a private club. His responsibilities included supervising and managing the overall performance of staff in his department, employee relations & benefits, reporting, giving recommendations and developing strategies on how to improve quality. Chris joined the ProSure Fund team with proven skills as a leader to assist with Fund administration, communications, serve as member liaison, and coordinate, launch and update The ProSure Fund website. Chris has been an active member of the East Lansing community, organizing Blood Drives and Walks for various charities and still continues that same energetic commitment and desire to be a vibrant participant in the community. He enjoys golfing, cycling, and a variety of outdoor activities as he is a strong proponent of wellness and the well-being of a healthy lifestyle.
